Satoshi Nakamoto is the name behind the creator of Bitcoin’s white paper. It is presumed to be a pseudonym since the person (or persons) under that name never went public. Nakamoto was involved in Bitcoin development until April 2011 when he finally disappeared, leaving his name’s mystery unresolved.
It is estimated that Satoshi Nakamoto has over 1 million bitcoins, making his net worth around 45 billion dollars.
Since then, many people have come in contact with the name Satoshi Nakamoto, either by the desire to become one or a need to deny being one.
